Transformation: Karin's transformation tool is also a small gold ring, except she has a dark orange (almost red) jewel. With her feet together, she holds her arms up in a "V," throws her head back and shouts "Pulsar Flash Power!!" Her jewel begins to flash bright yellow light very quickly, and the light grows until it engulfs Karin's body. After a final burst of light, Karin is left transformed into Sailor Pulsar, with her arms still in the "V" position, and her palms turned upward.

History: Sailor Pulsar was only a small girl when her home star died, so she didn't remember many details while she was growing up in Queen Serenity's court. During her youth, though, she learned that her home star had lived for billions of years and was one of the oldest stars in the galaxy. The people of the star were aware that their home would soon die, and many were able to prepare and leave before it's catastrophic end. However, Karin's parents were High Lord and Lady over several lands, and worked directly with their king. Before the star died, it was decided that the rulers would stay behind until all of the citizens were safely away. Unfortunately, the star collapsed before all of the citizens and royalty could leave. Karin was transported from the star by accident when she wandered away from her older sister and boarded a ship full of nervous and worried citizens. By the time she was recognized, the ship was well away from the star, and it was too dangerous to return. Upon arrival at the moon, Karin was taken immediately to Queen Serenity's court, and her situation explained. Only days later, the star collapsed in on itself, and her family was killed. Over the years, Karin grew up to be a strong-willed and athletic member of the royal court. Although she was not a princess, she was treated with respect and kindness by her caretakers and attended hundreds of royal functions in the palace. But she also kept a watchful eye on the night sky, where she knew her home star had been. One night, with the aid of a strong telescope lent from Erika, she spotted the remnants of her home star flashing across the depths of space. Alarmed, she ran to Queen Serenity and explained what she had seen. Queen Serenity told her that the star had done this as a reminder of the great civilization that had once lived there, but that nothing of the civilization remained. Both comforted by the explanation and saddened by her faint memories, Karin did her best to preserve her memories by writing up journals and drawing pictures of the home she barely knew. However, all of this was destroyed when the Moon Kingdom was attacked, and her memories were erased when she was sent with Princess Serenity and her court to future earth...

Attacks

Pulsar Ultrasonic Scream! Karin cups her hands around her mouth as she says this, and then throws them out to her sides with her fingers spread wide. Her tiara jewel flashes during the attack, and lets off a high-pitched scream that is above the human hearing range. The sound is at such a frequency that it becomes deafening to the enemy after a few seconds.

Starlight Purifying Rain! Karin joins with the other senshi in this attack. The three senshi come together in a circle as they say this. Karin holds her left hand in the air, like the others, and places her right hand on Trina's right shoulder (Trina has her back to Karin). The energy from the three senshi sprays into the air and showers the target. This heals the person/animal both physically and mentally. However, this will only work if the target is willing to be healed.
